Governance and Composition

NICTAA is governed by its Membership and is managed by its Board  of Directors elected each year by the General Assembly of its Members.

The NICTAA Board of Directors, also referred to as “Council”, is  comprised of very passionate and dynamic representatives from our  Membership who volunteer their time and expertise to the NICTAA. Each  member of the Board is responsible for a specific portfolio when dealing with issues pertinent to the ICT industry. Omar Mansoor Ansari, Member & Executive Director of ACSA and a prominent social entrepreneur, is the President of NICTAA and mainly responsible for leading the organization, chairing the Board and General Assembly meetings, membership and fund raising. Muhammad Nasir Rahimy, Member of NISPAA Board of Directors and CEO of CeReTeCs and a well-known business leader, is the First Vice President and is responsible for establishing and maintaining industry relations and membership raising to make sure that NICTAA members are able to  realize their potential in developing and growing a sustainable industry by coordinating efforts and programs related to Corporate Social Investment. Sher Wali Wardak, Business Development Officer of ALU Afghanistan and nationally known practitioner, is Second Vice President who is responsible for government relations to ensure that the industry government relations are strengthened and that the NICTAA membership is partner in all decision-making and policymaking. Dr. Frank Petrella, Dean Academic Affairs of AUAF and nationally and internationally known educationist, is Secretary of NICTAA who is responsible for ensuring that accurate and sufficient documentation exists to meet legal requirements, and to enable authorized persons to determine when, how, and by whom the Board of  Directors’s business was conducted. Ahmad Farshid Ghyasi, Member of the ACSA Board of Directors and CEO of NETLINKS, Treasurer of NICTAA, ensures that the organization operates within the guidelines of our Constitution and policies to ensure that the organization  finances are properly managed and maintained. Noor Ahmed Hamdard, lawyer at TDCA/Roshan, is a Board Member and responsible for the telecommunications cluster of the ICT sector, working closely with the telecom companies to understand and address their issues and concerns as well as ensure coordination and synergy among various telecom providers in the country.
