Dear NICTAA Members,
As our first Regional Open Source Conference – Central Asia concludes, we have organized a closing ceremony and social evening event to celebrate the emerging creative genius which exists in Afghanistan’s technology and art fields. Open-Dera is the space created for a free exchange of information, relationships, and expressions. Echoing what Dr. Ashraf Ghani Ahmadzai said in his opening address at the conference, and surely reiterating the importance of ICTs for Development, “open source is not a luxury for us, it is an imperative.”
It would be a pleasure if you and/or your representatives could join the conference’s delegates, exhibitors, and supporters from the private sector, government, and academia on Tuesday, 18 October, 5-8pm, at the Queen’s Palace, Babur Gardens. Invitation attached, event is free.
