Membership Criteria

The National ICT Alliance of Afghanistan (NICTAA) is comprised of three main pillars of the ICT sector: 1) the private sector, 2) civil society organizations, and 3) academia. Its membership includes, but is not limited to, telecommunications companies, internet service providers (ISPs), solution providers, software development companies, hardware manufacturers and dealers, electronic media and entertainment production companies, educational institutions and universities, research and development centers and associations of ICT professionals and consumers.

The applying institution must be a legal entity currently operating in Afghanistan, and should have a vision, mission, objectives and bylaws that address the needs of the ICT sector and is directly or indirectly involved in developing or utilizing ICT. It should have a minimum of five employees and an office in Afghanistan.
Interested bodies can fill in the NICTAA Membership Form. Membership dues can be wire transferred to the NICTAA bank account. NICTAA’s Board of Directors will determine the eligibility of the applicant and pass the application to its Membership Approval Committee for a vote.

Each member institution must be nominate a primary and a secondary representative who will represent them at various NICTAA consultations, events and programs.

Each NICTAA member will receive the opportunity to participate in NICTAA programs, attend committee meetings, influence and shape policy, contribute to industry white papers, participate in NICTAA-sponsored congressional visits and volunteer in related lobbying activities.
