Membership Benefits

In delivering the vision of the NICTAA to promote and protect the interest of our members, we strive to add value to both our members and ultimately the ICT industry as a whole in the following ways:

  1. Policy and lobbying. As a collective voice for the industry, we shape the way forward. We provide our members with a platform to give direct input into the Afghan legislative framework and also develop common standards to the benefit of the entire industry.
  2. Networking opportunities. Through regular seminars, workshops and conferences, we will foster opportunities to learn and forge influential relationships, such as National Congress on ICT, NICTAA Public Policy Conferences, NICTAA General Assemblies, and various other events!
  3. Marketing Platform. All members of the NICTAA are listed on the NICTAA brochures, flyers, website and have access to other unique marketing opportunities through NICTAA events and publications.
  4. Information Sharing. NICTAA provides a unique platform for information sharing among its members, mainly through its programs and events and through its membership affiliation with other bodies such as the National ICT Council of Afghanistan and World Information Technology Services Alliance (WITSA), Global Knowledge Partnership (GKP), UN Global Alliance on ICT and Development and ASOCIO.
  5. Representation on various government, NGO and industry structures. NICTAA is the official representative body of the ICT Industry and has three permanent seats over the National ICT Council of Afghanistan (NICTCA).
  6. E-Newsletter. Circulating important information that will benefit our members. TechAfghanistan, our newsletter, serves as a unique platform for all our members to share their news and receive information on various ICT happenings in the country and abroad.
  7. Industry White Papers.
  8. Professional recognition and credibility. All members of the NICTAA are signatories to NICTAA Code of Ethics and excellence in the industry is recognized at our annual NICTAA National ICT Excellence Awards ceremonies.
  9. NICTAA Committees and Interest Groups. Through the creation of various special committees and interest groups NICTAA ensures coverage of important and relevant issues on all platforms.
  10. Dispute resolution and legal assistance. Through our close relationship with legal bodies, we are able to offer our members with sound legal assistance.
  11. Business development. Through focused programs, we endeavor to contribute to the sustainable growth of the ICT sector.
